paris day one

eurostar took us from london st pancras to gare du nord station in paris. where we stayed, the all seasons family friendly hotel was approximately 10 minutes walk from gare du nord. right next to our hotel was the chateau landon metro station which basically our everyday port of departure to every beautiful places in paris. we took mostly line 7 and changed to other metro line somewhere, depending on where we were heading for the day. my husband is excellent at reading tube maps as well as planning our journeys. without him.. we might not be able to do as much as we wanted to.. the last time we came, we didn't go for the river cruise as it was still quite cold..the weather of course. it was in march when we went and the weather at that time allowed going out sightseeing in thick jumpers!! we were very lucky this time as may 2011 is regarded as the hottest spring month ever after many years!! hence it was really nice warm weather for us. perfect for travelling in lovely city such as paris :) the seine river cruise was awesome! i've never realized that all the city's main attractions were actually located along the river itself. as you can see from the cruise map.. everything is situated by the famous river. and not to mention, the river itself is super clean!! boleh nampak bayang-bayang dalam sungai tu okeh :)

the cruise was the hop on hop off type therefore we could simply hop off anywhere we fancy then the boat will come for us approximately 20 min later. isn't that convenient? here are some pictures from all around paris on our first day in paris city.. hopefully, sometime someday, i would be able to come and stay in paris again.. probably for longer..amin..

we booked ours back in february so we got it cheap for 4 person!
